Clear coverage terms that reward maintenance and protect long-term reliability.
Important: If your invoice/estimate states different warranty terms in writing, the written terms govern.
This page defines our standard warranty and plan-backed coverage rules as of .
1) Definitions (plain language)
Completion date: the date the Company completes the service or installation (coverage start date).
Company-installed materials: parts and materials supplied and installed by Green Guru LLC (not customer-supplied or third-party parts not installed by the Company).
Good standing account: invoices current (no past-due balance) and the system remains serviceable (access not buried or obstructed).
Within our control: failures reasonably attributable to covered parts and/or workmanship under normal operating conditions and normal seasonal care (not storms, vandalism, misuse, or third-party modifications).
For irrigation repairs, new installs, and upgrade work completed by Green Guru LLC, the Company provides 2-year labor + Company-installed materials coverageonly while the client maintains seasonal service during the coverage period:
Activation: the client purchases and completes Green Guru activation/startup service each spring.
Winterization: the client purchases and completes Green Guru winterization/blow-out service each fall.
No missed season: missing a required seasonal service voids remaining coverage.
Freeze rule (no grace): If winterization is not completed prior to the first freeze event of the season,
remaining irrigation coverage is void. For a consistent reference, the Company uses National Weather Service reported temperatures for Rochester, MI.
Microclimates vary, but freeze damage risk begins with unprotected water in lines and valves.
3) Landscape lighting warranty
Lighting repair work:2-year labor + Company-installed materials coverage for covered issues within the Company’s control; includes covered LED lamp/bulb replacements installed by the Company.
An active annual Lighting Service Plan extends eligible Company coverage by 2 additional years, provided the account remains in good standing
and scheduled plan service is completed. This is Company coverage (labor + Company-installed materials) for failures that the manufacturer and the Company can reasonably control.
It does not replace or override manufacturer warranty decisions.
5) What is not covered (common exclusions)
Freeze damage when winterization is missed or completed after the first seasonal freeze event.
Flooding, storms, lightning/power surges, vandalism, lawn equipment damage, animals, or other external damage.
Third-party modifications, customer-supplied parts, or parts not installed by Green Guru LLC.
Pre-existing conditions outside the documented scope (aged pipe, hidden wire faults, failed valves) unless explicitly included in writing.
Access buried/obstructed after service (valve boxes, hubs, enclosures) that prevents normal inspection or repair.
6) Manufacturer warranty (parts & fixtures)
Some parts and fixtures carry manufacturer warranties. Where applicable, the Company will assist with reasonable documentation to support a claim.
Final warranty decisions are made by the manufacturer.
